Customers – working with the best
WTG is privileged to work with a number of central government bodies including those in the criminal justice and security sectors. Due to the sensitive nature of the applications we build and the environments into which we deploy them, we are unable to reference some customers and projects.
WTG worked with the MoJ over five years ago on one of the first major secure online collaboration sites in public sector history. Since then we have continued to work closely together on a number of information management and managed services solutions.
National Policing Improvement Agency
WTG has been working closely with the National Policing Improvement Agency (NPIA) for a number of years, helping to build and implement key national information management solutions which have improved information sharing, operational efficiency and service provision. These include a major national police database and secure online collaboration platform.
The UK Home Office needed to improve support for forensic pathologists, and deliver a revolution in process efficiency. WTG built the National Forensic Pathology Framework (NFPF), a fully managed site allowing secure internal and remote access, secure email, diaries, peer-review, search and a casework database.
Department for Business Enterprise & Regulatory Reform
The Department for Business Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR) operated compensation schemes for former coal miners and their families before this responsibility was given to the Department of Energy & Climate Change . Paper-based claims processes were slow, costly and inefficient. WTG built an interactive website, coalclaims.com, which provides real-time status of claims, and at lower operational costs.
Having recognised the importance of the web to improve services and provide information to their citizens, Bristol City Council are working with WTG to develop a comprehensive website strategy that brings together all their services online, transforming the site from it’s current static status into a dynamic transactional website.
WTG are working with Middlesbrough Council to develop a comprehensive web strategy that enables them to provide innovative new services online and enabling more cost-effective channels with which to engage with the general public.
