End-to-end web applications
We have delivered hundreds of solutions that our clients rely on. Our solutions help clients manage business processes, enable and promote collaboration, manage and derive value from their knowledge and information and gain insight and intelligence from their data.
We have been delivering digital services for government since 2002, driving channel shift and performance improvements. More than 300,000 UK government employees rely on Web Technology Group systems.
Our clients benefit from an end-to-end approach. We take responsibility for the applications we build. Web Technology Group’s services encompass consultancy, design and user experience, system build and integration through to ongoing application management. As an SME, we have a nimble, pro-active approach. As a company experienced in managing UK Major Critical National Systems, we’re used to rigour and robustness in our delivery processes.
Our consultancy-led approach and agile project processes mean that applications can be designed and developed iteratively. This offers clients the ability to adjust the scope of the project as real requirements are uncovered and a better understanding of the system’s actual needs is gained.
We have experience in both the public and private sectors, working with systems integrators and other partners to deliver enterprise level solutions. With security cleared facilities, Web Technology Group offers the agility of an SME with the robust processes of a business used to working with large organisations.
We have delivered some highly effective systems over the last 18 years – whether judged by revenue, efficiency, effectiveness or innovation. You can read more about our work in the case studies section.
Since the business was established as Hyperlink in 1994, a lot has changed. Back then, the focus was on building transactional ecommerce websites. They needed to be able to handle high volumes of concurrent users and integrate with ERP, payment and other back-office systems. User experience and conversion optimisation were key elements of a process intended to maximise the effectiveness of the website.
As Hyperlink became Hyperlink Interactive and then Web Technology Group, the business was acquired by Cable & Wireless and entered a second phase. By applying the learnings of transactional ecommerce to government systems – internal and public-facing – Web Technology Group was able to support the first wave of e-enablement in Government services. This approach both improved the accuracy and speed of the processes whilst saving money by migrating contact from post and telephone to online systems.
Today Web Technology Group finds itself in a third phase, helping organisations derive further efficiency from web technology through collaboration and data insight. Our focus is now on solutions that deliver new capabilities and efficiencies.
